About our air duct cleaning
Your heating and cooling system moves the same air through your home many times a day. Over the years, dust, pet hair, drywall dust from renovations and debris collect in the trunk lines and branch ducts. When the blower kicks on, some of it comes back out of the registers.
We clean with the source-removal method. A HEPA-filtered negative air machine is connected to the main trunk line, which puts the whole duct system under suction. Then we work every supply and return run with rotary brushes and air whips, so loosened debris is pulled into the machine and out of your home.
Signs you need air duct cleaning
- Dust puffs out of registers when the heat or AC starts
- A musty or stale smell when the system runs
- You recently renovated, sanded floors or did drywall work
- You just moved in and don't know when the ducts were last cleaned
- Pets shed in the house year-round
- Some rooms get noticeably weaker airflow than others

How much does air duct cleaning cost in Woburn?
Every home is different, so we price duct cleaning by the system, not by a flat coupon number that grows once we arrive. These are the things that change the price:
- Number of supply and return vents
- Number of HVAC systems (many two-story homes have two)
- How much buildup there is, for example after a renovation
- Access to the furnace or air handler (attic, crawl space, basement)
- Add-ons like dryer vent cleaning or sanitizing in the same visit
Why homeowners choose HQ Vent
- Local crew based at 6 Nichols St, Woburn
- Upfront price before any work starts
- Before and after photos on every job
- Two-hour arrival windows you choose online

Air Duct Cleaning FAQs
How long does air duct cleaning take?
Most single-family homes take a few hours. The time depends on the number of vents, the size of the system and how much buildup there is. We give you an estimated time when you book.
How often should air ducts be cleaned?
Every 3 to 5 years is a common guideline, and sooner after a renovation, after moving into a home, or if you have pets or visible dust coming from the vents.
Will it make a mess in my house?
No. The duct system stays under negative pressure the whole time, so loosened dust is pulled away from your rooms. We also lay drop cloths along our work path.
Do you clean the furnace or air handler too?
We vacuum the accessible blower compartment and return plenum as part of the job. Deeper equipment service, like coil cleaning, is a job for your HVAC technician.
